LAPAROSCOPIC CYSTECTOMY

This surgical video demonstrates a minimally invasive laparoscopy to remove a dermoid cyst from the left ovary. The capsule of the ovary is opened with a CO2 laser and the cyst within the ovary is gently teased away from the ovarian tissue. The ovary is covered with a protective mesh to help lower the risk of scar tissue formation and infertility.
